Reflection
In the past years, I used to appear stressed and tired whenever I go or go home coming from school but now it's not that I'm not stressed, it's that I only learned how to hide this tiredness and stress with only a smile but even though I came up strong, it doesn't mean there's nothing wrong.
Everyone of us used to hate problems and being challenged, but the essence of this life, is to conquer and become braver and stronger as we face our challenges. The existence of love and inspiration, I thrived through all of those challenges because in this life sometimes teach us lessons like the presence of the season Autumn, because Autumn teaches us how can things be beautiful when we let go.
In this world where looks only matters when it comes to love, nobody fell in love with personality in the first sight though, I learned that even I don't possess the looks strangers always needed, I will always wear the most beautiful thing to wear, a smile. A smile is the curve that will make everything straight
Essence of Christmas
We are in that special season once again, a season of joy, of peace, of great tidings. A season when we celebrate the birth of Christ the King, the redeemer of mankind, Jesus is the reason for the season.
Every person has his own priorities, his own wants and needs. Some people may choose material things, while others may prefer tangible ones such as love, peace, prosperity and good health among others. Celebration of Christmas, it is a must for us to remember that our Lord came in this world in order to save us from our sins; He came to redeem us from the wickedness of this world. The essence of celebrating Christmas season is not to have a house full of Christmas lights, having a tall and beautiful Christmas tree full of gifts underneath it and giving expensive gifts. Christmas basically means sharing what you have, not just the material things but also those that can only be felt like a warm, tight hug, a simple thank you, showing our appreciation to our loved ones and forgiveness among others.
Whichever of these are important to you this holiday season, just remember that it’s the thought that counts and that love is the most important thing in the world. When love governs our hearts and minds, everything will follow and we don’t need to wait for Christmas time to share our love to other people.
Gender and Development
The issue of inequality is universal, between and within countries. The current extent of inequality means that people move around the world looking for means of survival and all of us will have to deal with the issue of inequality.
Given that women are usually in a disadvantaged position in the workplace compared to men, promotion of gender equality implies explicit attention to women’s needs and perspectives. At the same time, there are also significant negative effects of unequal power relations and expectations on men and boys due to stereotyping about what it means to be a male. Instead, both women and men, and boys and girls, should be free to develop their abilities and make choices – without limitations set by rigid gender roles and prejudices – based on personal interests and capacities.
